    Food For Thought

    James Martin Manchester restaurant is proud to be part of the Food for Thought programme. Just 99p added to your bill buys a tree to offset the carbon footprint of your meal.

    Food for Thought, operated by the Green Earth Appeal in partnership with the United Nations Environmental Programme, donates trees to some of the poorest communities on the planet in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

    As well as removing CO2 from the environment, these trees provide work and much-needed food for people and animals and also help to rehabilitate deforested land and preserve traditional livelihoods.

    Give a person aid and they will eat.
    Give a community trees and you empower it with food, fuel, financial opportunity and self-respect.

    James Martin Manchester is the signature restaurant at Manchester235 Casino, set away from the main gaming floor on its own mezzanine floor.
    This spectacular 150 seat restaurant pays homage to the original features of the historic Great Northern warehouse such as exposed brick work and industrial chic steel girders, all this combined with natural daylight plus James’ own selection of luxury vintage style fabrics and artwork all unite making for incredible dining surroundings.
    Whilst the setting is inviting the main reason to the visit is the food. James Martin, well-known and loved for his cookery shows on the BBC and Channel 4, has produced a classic, a la carte menu of the highest quality, including some of James Martins tried and tested favourites, by making the most of local British renowned butchers, fishmongers, game dealers, farmers and cheese makers. The A la carte menu will change seasonally so you can enjoy this gastronomic experience on regular occasions.
     A vegetarian menu is available and we can cater for most dietary requests.
    The Meat Market
     Unlike anything else Manchester has to offer the Restaurant hosts ‘The Meat Market’ a unique, walk-in, fridge with different cuts of hanging meats on show that take president on the menu.
    Chefs Table
    For that exclusive dining experience or special occasion take a seat at the Chefs table for up to ten people with specially selected menu.
    Wine Menu
    We have an extensive list of old and new world wines. Take a look at our wine list. If you fancy a cocktail our Vega Lounge has a full drinks menu available for James Martin Manchester customers.
    Opening times
    The Restaurant is available for service daily between 5pm – 11pm and we recommend booking in advance to guarantee a table.

    The restaurant can be hired exclusively for luncheons please ask to speak to our events team.

    For something a little more exotic and out of the ordinary, Ocean Treasure is the place to visit with its authentic Cantonese cuisine, created by our head chef Milky Boy, who has been creating delicious Chinese food for over 30 years.  

    Here you can dine late into the night, until 1am most nights, making it one of the latest serving restaurants in Manchester.
